The Ontario Government's 30% off Ontario Tuition Grant (OTG) program provides grants to eligible students, to a current maximum of $1900 per academic year. You are automatically considered for the OTG program when you apply for OSAP aid, but not every OSAP applicant is eligible for the OTG.
Students may receive a maximum of two Ontario Tuition Grants per academic year (September-August). For example, if you received one in the Fall 2016 Term and one in the Winter 2017 Term, then you are not eligible to receive one for the Summer 2017 Session.
The 30% Off Ontario Tuition only application for the academic year 2016-2017 is no longer available online. To apply for this funding and other funding, students can complete the 2016-17 OSAP Application for Full-Time Students that is available online. A paper copy of the OTG application is available for full-time students who wish to apply for OTG funding only in the summer term and did not receive the maximum OTG funding of $1,900.00 for the current academic year.
The deadline to submit an OTG paper application is 60 days prior to the study period end date. That is June 12, 2017 for the study period ending Aug 11, 2017.
For complete eligibility and application information, please visit the OTG website.
The 30% Off Ontario Tuition Grant program will not be offered starting the academic year 2017-2018 with the introduction of the New Ontario Student Grant, which is part of the new Full-Time OSAP.
